Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 8th Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 8th Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 8th Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

This looks like a great machine.
I don't need that much power.
Plus I'd like to spend less than that including a monitor.
Any Ideas?

Was gonna jump on the Dell deal last week, after all, for what it is, it was a great discount. However, once everything calmed down, I started thinking that I might be "buying a Ferrari for city driving".
(I'm not a big techie so CMIIW) 95% of the use I give my computer is multiple browsers and multiple tabs open within each browser.
There are file downloads/uploads but almost never heavy ones.
Will a monster processor like i7 make any difference in my day-to-day usage or should I be looking at other specs to boost the speed for my specific needs? If yes to the latter, what should I focus on? Can anyone recommend a good deal with those specs?
TIA!
(I'm sure many others are in the same position as me and can use the same advice).

Thanks DH, I got it, planing to upgrade the OS to SSD. One thing I can't figure out, that even after decrapifying the heck out of it, the boot time is still longer than my 5 year old laptop. Once it boots up it's super fast, but takes a full minute to boot.

You'd be surprised how much you have to do to really clean it out.
Why don't you just do a fresh install?
