You can check your business application status online here.

Barclay reconsideration line: 866-408-4064, Mon-Fri 8AM - 5PM EST.
The 24-hour number is 866-408-4064
New 24 hour number is 866-205-5973
you can finally fax documents to Barclays the number is 866-836-6959

Based on the phone reps, an application usually remains in the system for 90 days, during which you can ask for a reconsideration.
However, if 30 days have passed, it will incur another hard pull.

There have been a few reports of Barclay pulling credit again when reconsidering - even when specifically asked not to.
Make sure to explicitly tell the rep that you don't want another credit pull. The benefit of such action would be that if later you see they did pull your credit you can call up and speak to a manager and have the pulls removed (based on first-hand accounts from this thread).

If you want to guarantee that you don't get another pull, freeze your credit report.

While Barclay recon reps are usually very tough to deal with, there have been sporadic reports of them reconsidering by reallocating credit-line from other cards. Additionally, there are a few reports indicating success with the 3BM.
Personal and biz didn't combine

Barclay recon reps take notes of each phone call and subsequent reps usually regurgitate the previous rep's reply.

Barclays has a 6/24 rule similar to chase 5/24. Not hardcoded like chase though.

So just did a 2bm with US air and Arrivals. Got approved for 4k line on USair and pending on the arrivals. Do these pendings ever get approved? This is my first barclays app - does that matter? Any point in reconing?

TIA.

Wow! I did not think that was going to work!

I applied a few days ago for the M & M (have had the Arrival for about a year and the US Airways for 6 months). I called in after receiving a "pending" notification and after taking a bunch of info and asking me "Why have you opened x credit cards in the past year?" was denied. I requested to close the US Airways card to open it up, and was told no.

I called again today and spoke to a nice lady who again took down a bunch of info (she didn't say she was going to look at the notes right away, just started asking me similar questions to last call), and after complimenting me on the way I'd handled my credit overall and Barclays' cards specifically (!), I told her that I would even prefer closing the US Airways and opening the M & M one. She then offered to either move around some credit to open up the third card (and not close anything) or to close the US Airways card completely. I asked her to close the card (a possible churn before the merger).

HUCA is awesome :)

My wife got declined for US Airways because of too many new accounts. Are they able to see that it's credit card accounts that were opened or just accounts with a bank?

I got declined on the miles and more for "already having that product" but when I called in he couldn't understand why since he saw no record of me having a miles and more (I had downgraded my previous miles and more to arrival 2 weeks prior) so he approved the card BUT it cost me another credit pull :(

Lesson: Freeze your EX, EQ before applying for non-Chase/Amex cards...

BTW, are you sure they pulled your credit the first time? If you weren't doing a MBM, they probably didn't pull the first time.
