actually just saw EWR-TLV-EWR 10/23-11/20 FOR $1003  via UA a few bucks more but its UA
 
saw it on ITA didnt check with any OTA

I'd take UA miles (+EQM) over AA anyday. Either way I assume Dan was comparing to Delta in this part.

If you're talking about coach, I personally don't think theres that much of a difference. Business I personally dislike the UA 777s, and Id like to try out the new DL seat.

1) most probably not. you can only upgrade from a M class. which I doubt, this ticket is
2) even if you can. I would say don't bother. its around 700 ly points IIRC

I just checked and realized that only Starwoods transfers to AA. Oh wel, guess that plan is out.

Thanks. My preference is to go with El Al, but don't have enough starwoods points for business. I found a business class ticket for 100k miles for Delta through Flying Blue. I'm probably going to go with Delta.

I just looked it up on El Al website. It's 700Ly point for a one way upgrade Economy to Business. Which makes it 70,000 round trip to upgrade
