I heard of someone that made a student for him and his wife and on the spot he asked if his wife can get a work permit, so they just gave her.

Doesn't everyone in Israel work off the books due to the high income taxes there?

Hers is a regular A4 visa (accompanying my student visa), but whereas mine says "NOT PERMITTED TO WORK", hers says "PERMITTED TO WORK". Dunno much else.

Pulling up an old thread...

Anyone have any experience recently getting a work visa in Israel? Can you have a student visa and work part time at the same time?

Dw was in process of getting one, you can’t (legally) work on a student visa.

I love it, when you come to Eretz Yisroel you're greeted with "אינו רשאי לעבוד" you can go collecting, hafgonos, Chill, whatever you want but please don't go to work thanks.

מועד לשבתות ואינו מועד לחול
whats difference does the ox know between shabbos?
rashy says because its a day that the animal doesn't work he gets excited,
tosfos quotes a yerushalmy the animal gets gets excited he sees his owner with shabbos clothing.
rashi was in bovel the clothing didn't look any different for the animal couldn't tell a difference between the shabbos hat and the weekday hat, hey but work makes the difference in schedule.
tosfos quotes a yerushalmy, in yerushalyim you work in the weekday just as it would be shabbos, hey that kafton and shtraimel is what gets him excited.

Its not complicated at all . There are some who just get it just by asking for it when they renew their visa. However if that doesn't work for you (I've experienced both scenarios) , you need to preset a letter from an employer stating that they would like her to work for them.
