27 Hours in Hawaii(HNL), What should I do??
« on: September 19, 2012, 09:59:58 PM »
I take pride in my short trips around the world. Due to my busy schedule year round that's what I'm limited to. After Pesach I went to San Francisco for 27 hours.

Now I'm giving Hawaii the chance it deserves, getting in Sunday afternoon to HNL and leaving Monday evening.

What should I do, some suggestions , PLEASE!!!!!!!

All the way to hnl for 27 hours? Or a stopover to somewhere else?
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Final Destination.

I have direct flight from EWR there, with some stops on the way back.
If only it would be possible to stay longer I would, but I can only get away this long.
This summer I went to Alaska, I had just 2 and a half days there.

The main thing is that I get to experience Hawaii as best as a person can do in one day!

And I thought I was nuts for spending 48 hours in HI my first time :P

Then again at least I flew nonstop and was only coming from LAX.  From NYC you really are nuts!
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

+1, I am a believer in short trips but wouldn't you be better off in the Bahamas or sju?

Maybe spend 1 hour in HNL 2 hours in Maui 3 hours in Kaui and then go to Tahiti for the next day!

If you can get to the big island and back on time for your departure flight, I would say check out the volcanoes. You're probably too tight for that though.
This definitely ain't " giving Hawaii the chance it deserves".
Anyway, I think Dan mentioned more then a few times, don't spend your time in Wakiki.

I'm sensing that people trully beleive i'm crazy. While that's possible, I paid only 15$ for the Round-Trip(not a miles ticket), I wouldn't pay 500$ for one day.
Given the circumstances, I want to maximize my time there.
How I got it for so cheap is a story of its own that won't be able to be done again so i'm not gonna get into that.

No, it's a whole museum and memorial site, you take a shuttle ferry to a memorial that is on top of the sunken battleship Arizona. I would recommend it, i was there years ago but it's very impressive.

I would only recommend it if you are a serious history buff or if you are anyway spending a week on Oahu.
