Cell Phone Plan

Looking for suggestions for a new cell phone plan since contact is expiring in a month.  Wife currently has one of the iphones and wants to have a data plan. I just want to make calls and occasionally text. Any suggestions. Would prefer to spend considerably less than the $100/ month current pmt.

How many minutes do you need? Do you need data on your line? Just hers?

Check out straight talk for an iPhone sim which can be used in any AT&T iPhone.
That plan is 47 after tax and includes unlimited everything.
For you there are many options for around 30 to 40 bux. Virgin mobile, boostmobile, page plus, simple mobile,,,,

Just data on her phone. I guess 1000 minutes/month but would prefer not to keep track of wife's minutes and keep reminding.

so if it's 47 after tax, can I just add another phone on to that plan instead of one of those other ones you mention?

Metro PCS has unlimited everything for $40. Unlimited talk text and pic mail for $30

If you are on AT&T then unlock your phone (If they wont do it I can get it unlocked) and go with T-Mobile. I currently get unlimited EVERYTHING for $50/month.

Creditmonster,,tmobile and att use different 3g bands so the phone may work but the data speeds will be terrible with a tmobile sim in an att phone or visa versa. That's why I said to get straight talk sim in an att iphone since strghttalk uses att service. To use straight talk in an att iphone u don't need to unlock. U just have to visit unlockit.co.nz from the iphone and add the apn setting for straight talk so the web works. Google it for more info. I set a few people up and they are happy!! They even paid outright for the iphone but it pays itself off fast....

You can also recharge 3,6 or 12 months at a time and it saves a few dollars/month.
Also if u change ur address to an Oregon address there is no tax.

$30-plan $79-phone
The $30 plan is a promotion for the regular priced $40 plan: unlimited everything. 4g 250mb and after that unlmtd 3g. The $79 phone is the Coolpad Quattro after the mail in rebate. My wife had it but we had issues so I bought her the lg motion $149. So far she likes it!
You do have to buy and activate a new phone to get the $30 plan. IMHO its one of the best value plans out there.
