3x ETFs are not meant to be held as a position (especially over Yomtov where you have two market days that you can't be active in).

3x ETFs should be used ONLY for trading or hedging a portfolio (so for example if your overall portfolio was short gold, a JNUG position equal to about a tenth of the short gold position might be appropriate).
+1  i didnt realize i held one over yom tov   was not pretty

Can I expect gold will recover from the huge Crack soon (or at all) ?  I have a large JNUG position it's killing me.
I don't necessarily agree or disagree with him, but you might find the following read interesting: http://go.ggcpublishing.com/e/129401/the-10th-man/229twk/170418832

I am long gold futures from the lows of today, Friday's report is key to short term movement, gold has been down 8 days in a row and is very oversold. I think the report will disappoint and gold will rally, all the bad news and Fed Hollywood talk about their interest rate hike are already factored in the price of the precious metals.

Currency volatility should help gold make a recovery today. Combine that with people looking to buy in in the dip and the fact that these stocks live off  momentum should make for a rally, IMVHO

The world hasn't changed in thousands of years in some respects. We all need to make our own mistakes (and I include myself in that statement) and learn from them, rather than learning from other people's mistakes, experience, or knowledge.

There are 8 states voting on marijuana reform in November. Any thoughts on PLPL?

There are literally hundreds of tiny  under-a-penny marijuana 'stocks'. I buy 10k of some with little downside (10k costs less than  $20 in most cases) and tons of potential. Play with those.

sounds like a great idea. I just wonder if OTC stocks will respond to the election results.

I really don't expect for anything to harken to the small stocks anytime soon.  But i did make  $185 on  EAPH recently.  Only put in like  $30.

What type of commission schedule do you have that $30 investment is worthwhile?

Possibly. Maybe we'll see some bargains available.

Got executed on a stink bid to add to a gold miner position on 11/8. Moved out of some currency bets, just in case. Glad I did.
