Domains

There's a little scam going on with Network solutions so DON'T use their service!!!
Here’s how the scam works:
You go to Network Solutions (or virtually any of their competitors) and do a search for a domain name you’d like to buy. If you don’t buy the domain right then, they register the domain anyway, meaning if you try to buy it somewhere else you can’t. You are then forced to buy the domain at Network Solutions.

I often check the availability of domain names on register.com and they dont do that... I usually buy them with 1and1.com

Thanks for the heads up.

I like Globat, thy have very good hosting packages. The reason i started with them was simply ccause i paid nothing for 15 months, free hosting and domain
    *  1000 GB of Disk Space
    * 1000 GB of Bandwidth (mo.)
    * Host up to 10 Domains
    * 3 MySQL Databases
    * $6.95/mo. is our best deal!

Plus thy got some free software in there to make a site, nothing major, though it's better then 1and1 website builder for those who use it.
Zalman.

I have heard about that and theyre getting alot of slack for it form the other companies.

Thats why you are always best off using GoDaddy - plus with GoDaddy you can always find discount codes to get 10-20% off.

I think I heard godaddy does this thing too...
Some guys I work with were checking if certain domains were available on godaddy, and came back the next day to find one of those "what you need, when you need it" pages on that name.

They were quite annoyed.
I think this is sadly becoming standard practice for everyone.

GoDaddy domains for 99 cents via coupon code "SOCCER99". That's tied with our mention from last month as the lowest total price we've seen for domain names at GoDaddy.com this year. (This offer isn't limited to .com domains; .org, .net, .biz, and others are also eligible.) An 18-cent  ICANN fee applies.
