I'd agree with sky in the Milan thread. Either Como or Milan. Not both.

I vote Como.
Question is whether I'll be better off having a more relaxed DXB trip.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

how often are you able to get away like this anymore? Probably not too often. Do as much as you can and save the relaxing for when you get back home

Another alternative is QR J DOH SIN BKK or DOH KUL BKK or DOH HKG BKK, DOH CGK BKK you can do allot with an AA award.
Alright I'll play around with it, thanks for the help!

How hard is it to get from AUH-DWC and how much time if any is it worth spending in AUH?

AUH is boring...was there for a day, went to Ferrari world and the grand mosque. The best part was our 5 room suite at the Hyatt capital gate...
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

So here's the question, if I'm getting into AUH at 7:30 Monday night and flying out of DOH at 2:15 on Wednesday morning, the best flight option is DWC-DOH getting in at 10:00 on Tuesday night (6 hrs in DOH but no Al Safwa first lounge,) what do I do in AUH/DWC from Monday night to Tuesday night?

I've never been to DWC, but I believe there is more going on there than AUH. In AUH there is Ferrari world which is a bust. The only thing worth seeing there is the world's fastest roller-coaster. Rode it a few times and left. The grand mosque was interesting but not enough to make it worth it. There probably is a bit more to do, but I'd do DWC if I were you.

Anywhere with staying in DWC? I was thinking PH AUH.

Any chance AA would let me do CDG-AUH/DWC-DOH-CAN-BKK? They let you route through DOH if you're going Europe-Asia but that's really only supposed to be if you're flying on QR for both segments.
ETA: Seems like there's no chance they'd let me do it.

For AA it is 2 separate awards Europe > Middle East.
Middle East > Asia.

As far as staying in AUH Hyatt Capital gate is a very nice hotel, cheaper then the PH especially if your going to be running around AUH/DXB and won't be spending to much time at the hotel.

I also once stayed at the Ibn Batuta hotel in Ibn Battuta which is close by to DWC, I found that on Priceline for $86  a night and it's a 5 star hotel, so check priceline for the Ibn Battuta area there is also a metro from Ibn Battuta to all the tourist attractions in DXB.

Thanks for the info, what did you do in the Al Safwa lounge for so long btw? I'm trying to figure out the best timing with regards to flying to DOH, as of now I could either do 2, 6, or 16 hrs.

Eat, sleep, drink, relax, work, met the CEO of QR al bakr.

The reason why I did not go into DOH is cause I've read DOH souk is just a modern souk and the city is just modern and coming from DXB I don't think I would have been impressed with DOH.

What did you do about kosher food for that whole time?

Option 1. CDG-AUH (EY F) stay overnight in AUH/DWC, DWC-DOH-CAN-BKK  (QR F) Pros: EY F, Cons: Really long transit time to get to BKK (leave Mon morning, get in on Wed night,) 112.5k AA

Option 2.CDG-DOH-CAN-BKK (QR F) long layover in DOH, Pros:As much time as I want in Al Safwa lounge, Shorter transit time (leave Mon night, same time getting in Wed night,) only 90k AA, fewer connections, Cons: no EY F

Option 3. Scrap this whole idea and just stay in Europe for longer

Thoughts?
