Going to Seattle/Vancouver for a bit (with a shabbos in vancouver at thekollel) and deciding what to do on second shabbos (we personally like to have a more heimish shabbos vacation with a shul/served meals). me mrs and a 10 yr old, 9 yr old and 3 yr old. thinking about stopping off on flight back in toronto for friday and then zipping down to niagara to stay at the four points fallsview with chabad package. other options are shabbos in montreal (crappy hotel in local area), Toronto or perhaps Victoria at the chabad there. which one would you do?

Try using DDF in browser on phone. It's super small, but I like it way better than tapatalk.

hey guys,
i want to take a vacation this summer with my hub and 5.5 yr old daughter. i definitely want to fly. i want somewhere that we can all enjoy equally so no Disneyland/world. i was thinking of the Hyatt in Arizona but other than the insane grounds, is there anything else to do? i'm open to any suggestion really but we must have access to kosher food. no Pom meals. We would go for at least 4 days, maybe a full week if it's interesting.

oh and it should be anywhere a passport is not required. and also- we don't really care about Zika

Take a flight from EWR to JFK and explore NYC.

I don't understand why an adult wouldn't enjoy Disneyland as equally as a child. ;D

We are dealing with a person who doesn't enjoy Disneyland.

sheesh. what a warm welcome  ;D

we don't enjoy disney cuz we're not into standing in line in the sun and begging our kid to just try one ride please- i promise it's not scary! all of that is just not worth it for me. maybe when she's older or we have more kids.

It looks so amazing! How experienced of a camper do we need to be?

FYI I really wanted to go to Japan largely in part of your great TR but apparantly the summer is an awful time to visit. (We could have tried to work out our passport issue)

You can rent a cabin, then you have a fridge and more comfort. It comes with a fire ring for cooking.
Check out KOA (http://koa.com/campgrounds/bar-harbor-oceanside/) People are usually friendly and kids love it.

There is also an SPG hotel in Bangor, which is within driving distance to the park if you want to use points.

Go for it, you are better at finishing TRs than me.

So AC just swapped my 787 for a 777 from YYZ-YVR  >:(
My Dreamliner virginity will remain intact it seems.

Option A:
25K UA miles
6:25am-7:25am CLE-YYZ in AC CRJ200 Y
9am-10:49am YYZ YYZ-YVR in AC 77W J

Pros:
Lie-flat J
Clear customs during connection

Cons:
Early morning departure
Carseats not allowed in AC J
CRJ Y to YYZ
No WiFi
KSML ;)
------------------------------------------

Option B:
12.5K UA miles
9:09am-10:33am CLE-DEN in UA 738 Y (Comp upgraded to J)
11:55am-1:55pm DEN-YVR in UA 738 Y (Waitlisted for J upgrade)

Pros:
Fewer miles
WiFi

Cons:
No lie-flat J
Clear customs in YVR
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

whichever gives you the best story for the seminar.

I personally would go with the second if I knew the waitlist would clear for the family. Car seats and not getting up super early is big for me with the kid, but I don't know how your kids fly/handle the early wake ups.

i'm thinking of starting a new thread on this because search was very unhelpful.

i want to do a road trip lasting 10 days starting June 30th in NYC going to Denver. i want to make as many stops for good Kosher food along the way. i want to do Philly, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Kansas City, etc. i will use apps like hotel tonight for hotel bookings because my goal is to be cheap, not fancy. i'll try to use points if i can though.

can anyone be of help with
a- route planning
b- food destinations- places not to be missed
c- best shabbos options where chabad or the like will help
d- helpful tips for anything i might not know about
Did you end up doing this?
Can you offer and advice?
I want to do exactly that, Looking to rent a RV and do a Road Trip with young kids out of NYC for 5-7 days.
Any advice appreciated.
Tia!
