As winter is approaching let's speak around from some nice places where to go skiing From domestic USA and the entire world  :)

Vail and the Chabad usually does a pop up restaurant over Yeshiva week...he does basic food delivery all year long. Many people also just stock up in Denver before their drive up to their or Breckenridge or Beaver Creek.

Looking to go a way for a few days midweek, end of January/beginning of February. Wife will be too pregnant to fly or do activities like skiing, snowtubing, etc. Looking for somewhere within about a four hour drive of NYC. Ideally, the vacation spot would have a nice view, beautiful lodgings, non-"active" activities, and unique shops. We would prefer a small town that we could explore rather than an isolated castle in the wilderness.

Would be great to use SPG or Marriot points, but not a must. Also have plenty of UR, and would consider spending cash for the right place. No need for Minyan or Kosher food in the area.

I've often looked for a similar option as well. Would be good to have a nice spot. I've personally been able to make A.C. work for me with very specific parameters. But that place keeps getting more and more depressing. Also, it's not a small town with nice shops. A few questions:

1) Are you looking for something colder (VT for example), or warmer (VA for example)?
2) Do big cities with good culture (Boston, Philly) count as options? I love both of those as getaways from NYC.
3) Resort or standard nice hotel work?

Good questions.

We are not interested in a AC type of destination.

1) Not particular in cold vs. warm, though VA is too far. Southern Vermont or Western MA might work, though i'm not so familiar with those areas.
2) Don't need a resort, but would like a very nice hotel, preferably with a spa.

Equinox in Manchester VT looked nice, but reviews made it clear that there was poor service and the place is in dire need of an upgrade.

Any other suggestions?

Lambertville. NJ or New Hope, PA. Right across from each other over the Delaware. Quaint, antique-ey vibes.

Starting to think about next summer. August. Leaving from Israel. Will IYH have 4 kids, 7 months - 8 years old.
Ireland is probably too much hiking for the baby.
My 5 and 7 year old are dying to stop in CDG to see the Eifel tower (though may do that as a stopover on the way to NYC in July).
Are the Greek Isles too hot in August?
Maybe Madrid + BCN?
Amsterdam?
Appreciate any other ideas/suggestions.
We like nature and also seeing cool old stuff. But with enough to keep the kids entertained.
Kosher food a plus but not necessary

With an infant?
You can do South Africa with an infant, if you're OK with the long flights. Just avoid Kruger (malaria area) - there are plenty of other places to do safaris.

In terms of nature, you can't beat the combo of safaris, Cape Town's oceanic scenery, and the beautiful mountains and waterfalls on the panoramic route in mpumalanga. (there is also the drakensberg, but there's not much hiking you can do with the kids)

I'm not so into "old stuff" myself, so I can't speak to what there is of that in SA.

looking to fly somewhere for one night from NYC. whats my best option of a direct flight not more then like 2hrs with a pretty decent chance of being warm and preferably by water?
would use chase points so prefer something I can get short haul on BA
or maybe I can use JetBlue points.
Any suggestions?
