i have not been there but it's on my list. From the thread it seems 1 night/ 2 days is perfect there.

It actually seems like a good idea but I can't find any availability that works for when I have to fly back and flights are expensive.

Looking for a Zika free destination for the summer. Preferably not Europe or beach/island.
Thinking of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan...

Don't want to spend 2 days traveling so the closer the better. I'm thinking maybe to make an intentional stopover for a day or 2 but can't figure out a good destination.

Your post is confusing...

Trying to find a place to go this summer that is Zika free.
I would love to do Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, maybe some parts of China etc but the thought of traveling for 20 hours straight is daunting for me and probably too hard a sell.
Therefore, I'm wondering if I can combine 2 locations, stopping off at location 1 for a day or 2 to break up the travel time.

I can't think of any good combinations that work geographically and don't break the bank.

That might work, thanks. (though I'd skip Tibet due to time constraints)

Is Nepal worth the travel if you're not doing a trek of some sort?

Thinking of taking a last minute getaway with 2 & 6 year old for winter break. Can anyone recommend points hotels within a 2-3 hour drive from NYC that may have activities on premises (resorts?) and potentially be within driving distance (~30 min) to snow tubing?

Coco keys

or: https://www.skibluemt.com/

This Sunday we went to Blue Mountain Resort for snow tubing. $30 pp for 3 hours (minimum). Was fun while we were there but the driving was just too much. Took about 2.5 hours from BP. We were 5 adults, 3 kids ages 4-7. Everyone had a blast. Would do it again but would take just 1 car and share driving. Would also leave much earlier (like 8am) next time. We chose this over mountain creek cuz MC had no available reservations.

Looking to go in the summer from sun to Thurs to a miami type place.

We've been to Miami more times then we can count so we need something different. We don't want Hawaii bec we don't want the half day travel so what are some other suggestions where you can just stay in a nice place and relax with no need for any major activities.

Thanks!

If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.
