SPG online "combine account" feature

Has anyone ever used it?

If you go to spg.com, click on "my account", then click on "my profile". You will see the option shaded in yellow above your name.

I have my main account and a new account with some points i just got from someone.
Id like to combine the points in one account and would love to do it without calling and raising any flags (the points were just transferred in yesterday).

Im wondering if that feature is an automatic one where your two accounts just combine and no one notices...

That's only for combining 2 of your own accounts with the same name.

Thats exactly what i have.

One account i have had forever. The other i created at a different address and had someone transfer points in. Now im changing that address back to my address and want to combine the two.

Have you ever tried combining two accounts like that?

I've never tried but let us know what happens!
