Hello, is anyone (I guess by "anyone" I really mean Something Fishy) able to explain to me the difference between "Intelligent Auto" and "Superior Auto" modes on a Sony a5000. (Yes, I just recv'd mine after buying it from the deal that was posted here- thank you!). I read the manual but that was no help. Thanks.
Intelligent is where the camera chooses the best scene mode to use.
Superior is where the camera takes a series of pictures and combines them into one, keeping the sharpest/best exposed/etc. parts of each.
In general superior will give you a better picture, but it doesn't work at all for moving subjects. If something in the picture is moving use intelligent.
Even better, learn how to use the PASM modes - those will give you far better control over your pictures.
