Camera is not as good

Something Fishy, can you clarify what about the T5i makes it a significantly better camera than the SL1?

Based on what I see on snapsort's comparison, the major factors that are in it between the two (that would be very significantly relevant to most people) are that the SL1 is much lighter (about 30% 407g vs 580g) but the T5i has a flip out screen which could be handy for lots of people. Most everything else seems to be relatively close

What is it that makes the T5i a hands-down better camera than the SL1 in your expert opinion?
(Is the autofocus system on the T5i that much better in real-world performance?)

A while back I called canon to ask them what it means refurbished. They assured me the cameras were new and that it was just listed under refurbished because it can also mean they are just trying to get rid of what they have for newer shipments. CMIIW

Actually the one with the 75-300 lens has a 1 year warranty for both included, whereas the other doesn't, but the other one has accessories included (battery, charger, strap, cable)
