Local landmark.
That's where the attack took place.

To be fair, it's not famous because the attack took place there. The attack took place there because it's famous (and made it a little more famous, though I'm sure they could do without that publicity...)

I don't remember all the specific names, but there were a whole bunch in another area. I think a few nice ones together with the Four Seasons...

Just got my Visa online for $60.

The site said it needed to be within 34 days of your trip.

I fudged the dates so that I could get it sooner and out of the way.. But now I only have until Feb 25th, although I leave on March 3rd.

Gonna go to the NYC office on 23rd st today to try and fix things.

Anyone have information on the New Delhi Chabad? It seems that some have said that it really isn't a real Chabad, can anyone clarify?

By real the meaning is that they aren't endorsed by Chabad headquarters. The Shluchim who run it are a bit too Meshichist to be considered "mainstream" Chabad.

Of course they are still Ehrliche Yidden, if you need a Minyan and Kosher food (unless you subscribe to Berger's version of Judaism) you should have no problem.

If you do, you should rather Kupchick than sharf...

You can transit in the airport without a visa of that's what you're asking (at last you were able to in '08)

Transit usually means going from country A to C via India. I'm asking about a RT to India returning to same origin without a visa

Why would that be different?

Even though you showed them a boarding pass returning right away, and wouldn't leave the transit area?
