He can't transfer them to you without a large fee I believe.

Does Air Canada allow one ways?  Maybe you can buy a one way from each account?

Different miles mean different award rates, perhaps your Dads miles are best saved for a redemption that fits better.

Any activity in his account will extend the expiration date, unless its been accrued close to 7 years ago (Air Canada's stupid 7 year policy)

Aeroplans site is down (:() but upon further research it seems you're mistaken and it should be much less than what you're saying for one roundtrip flight from North America to China on StarAlliance partners. If you can get your hands on Amex points, it's less than 200k in business.

Probably AC high-level Classic Plus availability.

Then OP is doing this wrong. top-tier priced premium-cabin awards are typically only worth it if you'd otherwise buy the same ticket in $rev, which I don't think the OP is planning on doing. If he is, it's probably still well worth his while to locate the MR even at 2cpp.

When I went on the aero plan website and put in my dates it wanted 335000 miles for ny to pek or PVC or icon in biz class so I changed dates and it came out to 500000 miles maybe what you saw was a mixture of business and economy
