why not go to campos for the shabbasim and go to Iguazu mid week for a few days. make sure to go the argentine side too. I think Manuas is a pit and not worth it unless youre going on the amazon but with kids thats not a good idea either. Go to IGU - you wont regret it.

I would say it's mostly for that. I enjoyed the city as well, has some cool places, including the port, marketplace etc. MotoTaxi from anywhere to anywhere in the city was R$5.

Online visas are live! Perfect timing since I was about to run to the consulate today. Seems to be cheaper too, just $40 plus a service fee. The system is a PITA though.

Cheaper at $40 but only valid for 2 years, the $160 was for 10 years, so net is more expensive. Though I prefer smaller fee for less time.

I'm planning on a trip to Brazil in late july early August,\

I'd have liked to go in the winter but timing is everything + the weather looks decent for those months.

I'll have 7-10 days to spend & the 3 places I'd like to cover are Rio, Iguazu & Manaus. If I do Manaus ideally I'd route though there on the way in or out.

Do I have enough time to do all three & if yes should I stick with Manaus vs other places in SA like Buenos Aires?

Best routing for such a trip?

FWIW we didn’t get yellow fever shots when we went to MAO, though this was about 4 years ago.

If you appreciate nature then skip Buenos Aires and go to MAO.

Chabad Shliach in Manaus says I don't need it, additionally there seems to be a nationwide shortage of yellow fever vaccine in the USA (they had to destroy their stock due to a storage issue), almost impossible to find it here

Might not need it in the city, but check if you need it on any river excursions.

IIRC shliach told me the same when I was there and we slept in the jungle on a 2 day tour. He recommended us a tour to use, which went great.
