well with Avis First you wont have to schelp on the rental car shuttle to T2 lot to get the car, but Everyone has to return it there

I was able to work it out to get my car this morning at T3. got a Mazda3 with 1200 kms on it, the few cars lined up all look brand new. You go up to the counter on the 1st floor above the Arrival level and then proceed outside like U used to but instead of taking the elevator down to the Ground level yu walk right past the els and the cars are lined up on the left side. You only know which is yours but checking the plate # on your contract and finding it. You get the keys at thye counter and inside the car is the tkt to open the 2 gates inorder to get out of the parking lots

who checks your car for scratches?

if this was for me and @ TLV they gave me the sheet with all the known scratches already marked on it, and I wasnt even able to find the few they

I guess if I had found any they didnt then I would have walked back to the desk where I got everything. I was sort of surprised that they didnt hav esomeone to escort me, as I was about to pull out I saw 4 cars being parked so maybe theres usually someone there.

Ive returned (not picked up) to both ONT & LAX and both places did a walk around , and LAX was busy at the time, but I didnt pick the car up at either place and it was marked Hertz Gold. So either you got Lucked or Im Unlucky, I dont which is the answer, but it seems to have worked in your favor so lets not complain even thou Im sure you had your CC cover the CDW which to most people is secondary after going thru their ins, since legallyI dont own a car my CC is Primary CD. BTW had no damages either time

Good question.

They check it before you come, but using the wmc it should not pose a problem.

And hey guys, being at the car rental return 2.5 hours before the flight, is not a luxury...
Took me some 10 mins to find the place. Needed to wait about 15 mins so that they accept the car back, and waited 20 mins for the bus. Bus ride is also at least 10 mins.

is there a gas station near the return area?

with the older Mazda3s I was always able to gas up before leaving Jerusalem and the needle still stayed on full. I got new M3 yesterday and it has the digital dash so after 34 kms it dropped below Full. Got gas at Beit Shemesh and saw that after 43 kms it dropped.

So I plan to load up in Yeru as its 15 ag disc and stop on the way at the Paz right before the exit for Beit Shemesh and take on alittle more, or get off the hway 1 exit before the Main next for BG, if I remember correctly it will say Petach Tikva (Hway 40). make a right and stay in the left lane at the light make a left thats the other Original Entrance to the Airport just before the checkpt is a gas station on the corner on your right

I think taking the PT exit might also be faster to getting to the Rental Return Area, I will hopefully remember to post back here after I return my car next Thurs

is there a gas station near the return area?

depends where you enter tlv.

if you go by the small check point (2 or 3 lanes, the place itself is a petrol station, and if going via the major checkpoint you dont have one.

Please use mazda3 or maz3, as m3 is a bmw.

and please confirm that $223 is a weekly rate, incl all taxes and fees, and incl. the base insurance,

thanks

besides not knowing m3 is a BMW I believe I said Mazda3 numerous times referring to this rental and even did in the same post where I happened to have said M3

the Mazda3 cost me $223 ai including Airport tax, 3rd party liability, and used my WMC for the CDW. It should have been $237 but they made a mistake and when I mentioned it to them they said dont worry about it, that was back in NY. They even saw the $237 over here till I showed them where it said $223 on my confirmation and they changed it to $223 when I picked up the car.  Which is why I always told everyone to make sure they take the confirmation along with them as if theres a difference they will honor whatever is written on the confirmation, at times including the free upgrade if there is 1

 yes it was for a full 7 days p/u 10am returning 10am
