As I said before no reason to assume either way until the schools decode.

Maybe a compromise is fair.

I imagine if every kid is paying $5k they'd be better off in a lot of ways then they are now.

Teachers kids will now pay $5k each. Siblings will all pay $5k each. Very poor families who laid close to nothing will pay $5k etc.

If the school has more money than before general tuition price should fall.

that's not what happened in nyc when the schools started to receive upk money. Many schools kept on charging regular tuition- kudos to BYBP for only charging a registration fee , albeit a hefty one. (granted, that was only money for one grade and not every student)

Remember the voucher is only for specific situations. We still don't have EVERY kid paying 5k.

There is an incentive though now for the schools to fight for those K students...

Simple math. Cle mortgage is undr 1k, so I'll call that 10k-12k a year. About the same as tuition there before you ask for breaks.

In NY 5 kids in school could run as low as 25k, which is less than a mortgage on any house big enough to hold 5 kids.

How are you getting 5 kids for 25K in NYC?

Only if you're making ~$200K+

Not sure I follow.

If you make $200K you'll only pay $5k per kid in NYC?

Doubtless they'll handle voucher by increasing tuition to 15.

Frankly, that would be maddening.

I think he meant you need to be making that much to pay full tuition in CLE
If you don't care why would you comment?

Doubtless they'll handle voucher by increasing tuition to 15.
That would just further penalize people who live in Beachwood who aren't getting vouchers.
More likely scenario is that the scholarships awarded would drop tuition by $1K (say from $4K to $3K) rather than $4K which would drop the price to nothing.

I think he meant you need to be making that much to pay full tuition in CLE
Yup.

Do you know where you want to move? Bala Cynwyd, the Northeast, Elkins Park, somewhere else?

Do you care that that's not a Jewish/frum neighborhood?

Sorry, I don't know anything about the area outside of the Jewish communities in Philly. Best of luck!

I don't know those neighborhoods, but I lived in west Philly near university city and it was not a place I'd ever want to raise a family in.

There are two types of voucher eligibility. Anyone can get the 5k per year starting in Kindergarten, but the school can charge more.
Income eligible families, which many large families are, get the vouchers, and the school cannot charge more. Sure there may be workarounds, but those are the the rules

What do you mean by charge more?
Do you mean lower the other scholarships? Don't think they'll be raising the price above full :D
