Does the native iPhone 5 email app (or is there a "native" gmail app that) allow for multiple "send from" options like gmail (in the browser on a desktop) does?

The email app does allow for multiple "send from" as long as the different send from accounts are individual accounts in the mail settings....(i.e. each gmail account gets its own mail settings...)

Correct.

The gmail app, however, doesn't provide exactly what you're asking about, but it does allow multiple accounts, like gmail on PC.

Gmail on the PC also allows multiple send to accounts from one login, see the settings here (on a destop):

3rd section on that page is called "send mail as". Is there a way to use those outgoing aliases on the iPhone?

Yes, I'm aware that it does that, but that's not what I was referring to, nor can the gmail app do that.

The gmail app, like the browser, can switch seamlessly between accounts, but there is no "send mail as" that you're seeking.

Just sync to outlook.

but then i download it to my address book?

i know made 2 exchange e mail accts one with my american numbers and one for israeli
