I'm a member of the JPM private bank. Doesn't do much for me. No culture card or other special benefits aside from generally no fees. I applied for the CSR card today and got declined. Called up recon and got approved after mentioning PB. So maybe a little bit. I called my private banker a couple times over the past few years but he was not helpful.

If you get a lousy local banker, are you stuck with him/her?
Cant you have it changed to someone you get along with better?

Did you request a culture card?
Did you try applying for the JPM Reserve?

I'm a member through my law firm. I requested a culture card a couple years ago and I was told that only CPC gets it. I didn't know about the Reserve, and not sure I want to apply for both at nearly the same time. I cannot choose my banker as my firm has one banker.  Who is not particularly helpful.

Well that stinks.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Just got this email:
An Invitation to Experience Chase Private Client
As a valued Chase customer, we are pleased to invite you to upgrade to Chase Private Client, where you will experience premium banking privileges, priority service, and special relationship benefits.

I don't have 250k in checking, is there a monthly fee for CPC? Or do I just go for it? (sorry if this is the wrong place to ask)
Did you go in to the bank?

You got fed a line of BS.
They're not giving to someone who walks in off the street without a relationship.
Sorry, wasn't clear. I meant I didn't know the banker. I've been with chase for ~10 years and have a significant balance, just nowhere near the 250K.

The email means nothing. But if you find a banker willing to waive the 250k min balance, you can get in the door

Benefits are fine for me, and I've had a max account size of like $20k :)

I tried and got turned down :(. But I also don't have a banker so I can't apply through the general channel.

I tried today again to get the Culture card. Was told its really for CPC, and PB members can get it if they have a $250k balance. Oh well.

FYI new card arrived valid thru 12/31/2018.

Liberty Science Center was removed and the Intrepid was added to the NY card.
