You are allowed 2 stopovers. Stopever is more then 24 hours. Less then that is a connection and the the amount of them they'll allow probably depends on the agent you speak to. They don't allow back-tracking and in general it has to be more or less the direct route.

You're kidding me, right?
You write in your post 60/80/100 and you don't know what y/j/f is?

I followed the instructions in Dans opening email. I found an itiniery via Continental award search engine that was available for miles. I called US Air  and tried booking this flight but they told me it was not available for miles!!! From reading these posts I was under the impression that if it shows availiability on ANA or Continental it shouldbe available via US too. What am I missing???

1) Is it still available

2) There are some discrepancies, between different star alliance members. I booked today a zrh-tlv in eco, which according to ANA wasn't available... (and I wasn't using LX miles)

Did it show available on CO as Saverpass or was it an Easypass ticket?

Assuming you're not logged in as an elite and it was saverpass you just need to call again.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

@ SuperFlyer: It is still Available

@ Mikeoracle: it is available via Easypass not saverpass. Is that the problem?

My itiniery is as follows: Sunday 8/15 NYC to WAW. Must get there before 10:30AM. Returning on 8/23 evening from VIE to NYC.

Laav davke my friend, I believe that besides the fact that every airline allows some more space for their own kind of miles, that there are 2 types of star alliance partners (at least).

Say, where air canada finds availability (on say LH) CO or BMI might not find it.

US has a longer delay till seats reopen compared to ana, and so on.

Just things you notice along the way.

You might find different theories to what I said, but those things happened.

Available on CO? or ANA? your original comment suggested being available on both.

Of course that's the problem.
You can only book easypass tickets by using the miles of that carrier.

There was another Business Class flight that was available with both Easypass and ANA but US Air still showed no availability. I did not push it because its gets me to WAW at 1:55 PM and I need to be there by 10:30 AM. But I was surprised that US Air told me that it is not available for miles .(They showed no availability with any carrier on 8/15)

It is Flight # LO16 from EWR to WAW on 8/15

confirming my point...

Or confirming that BrooklynCPA had a lazy tuchus agent who just said no availability that day.
Call back, find a good agent, and I'll bet they'll magically find availability on that flight.

Be sure to use my standard line...another agent found availability on xxx flight earlier but I wasn't ready to book can you please see if it's still available.  Works like a charm once you have find a good agent.

this theory of yours works, when I ask for a flight from CLE to OUA.

When you give them one specific flight, what else is there to do?

(on oneworld its a different story, as some flights don't search 'well' together, and need to be searched manually = separately)
