I've been reading some of the deals posted, and it seems to me that it becomes a race of who can scour the other deal sites and copy/paste to here. I could be terribly mistaken...

The other sites do the same with this one. At the end of the day nobody can be the first to discover all the deals - we have to rely on other peoples finding them as well. the key is to be able to score the item in time - no matter who posted it or where, If I see a price mistake by dell - I want to have a chance at getting it and so does everyone else so I post it - if someone else sees it - he posts it and I have a chance at getting it. (unless you think you can find all these deals yourself without any help)

Even if you only end up getting a few great deals here that weren't posted anywhere else, its already worthwhile, and we've had numerous such deals here!!!

Perhaps we should institute that an original deal be written as such? There isn't any real gain other than bragging rights...

Also not everything other sites list as a deal are actually a deal! I can list you 10 laptops and chances are you wont know which ones is a deal and which one isn't - I see it happen all the time. Most ppl naturally gravitate to the lowest priced model as if thats the deal - wen in actuality the most expensive one may be the best deal!

How about making a forum that points that out, so we can at least have a good laugh at those sites!

Even the news business works like this every reporter tries to be first, however, in that industry, they usually quote each other!

Didn't understand

Most of the deals are posted on the forums then the blogs repost that info. This is not always the case but like I said with the forums having so many members they have a big advantage.
