This guy sounds like a loser... Lost his lease due to a breakup, so he mooched off a girl (or guy, if he's gay). Travels for free full time by manipulating a system that's set up to reward people, not have them take advantage to the point that it gets them kicked out of programs. It' ;s moochers like this that will ruin a well-intentioned program for everyone... yet Yahoo! Travel almost glorifies what he does. I'd, personally, like to see him banned from all loyalty programs and perhaps locked up for larceny.
Yahoo home page comments sum up why I'll pass on the attention...https://www.yahoo.com/travel/how-this-guy-travels-the-world-for-free-124754815447.html
Can't imagine all of this media hype is good for us...
the Hobbyists®™.
I saw Ben and The Points Guy making out at an industry event recently.I kept thinking that, so much flyer knowledge was being fused together during that heavy petting session.
“The people who run these programs are idiots – and we’ll always be one step ahead,” Schlappig once said at a Hobby gathering. Does anyone believe this to be the case? I don't.
One particularly clever trick among Hobbyists is to use these credit cards to buy dollar coins, then use the coins to pay off the credit card bill immediately — so you’re actually buying nothing but reaping the rewards anyway.
