I dont think you are correct regarding the 15 airports mentioned in the article. Customs happens already before you depart.

I'm confused by that article.
I thought when I flew AUA-JFK-PIT and had preclearance in AUA that my luggage went all the way from AUA to PIT. At least I don't remember going through security+customs in JFK.

Probably has to do with behind the scenes screening, wonder how it makes it better for passengers, and who advocated to cancel it (gives the TSA $$$)

tlv - jfk (-atlanta - ewr)
for 492!!!

way there is annoying, but for the way back you have a direct flight!

seems like only working for 1 week+ flights

dates I found were in feb
