I currently have an unlimited data plan for my Sprint Curve 8330. While I am using a Mac it is easier to do with a windows computer. If you have a Mac you can find a really simple way to have the computer recognize your bb as a modem thru bluetooth!
It works great for me when I am on the road...
One note, I heard that the latest software update doesnt allow this so I never updated my bb...

How do you hook up the mac to a bb as a modem?

TMI, and not at ALL what the original poster was asking.
Read it again.

Ooma is a great phone service! (see my review on infonotmercial.com, btw!)
As for a router- I'd go with just about anything by linksys. They're pretty solid and can be hacked to run some amazing new linux-based firmwares. But check first with your provider- a lot of them come with wireless routers built into the modem these days!
