I got a $115 ticket for "double parking" during alternate side times.

The entire block was double parked (standard practice on this block), but the ticket was only given to cars that were opposite of a "no parking" area.

Technically it's not ever legal, but the whole city does it.

What is the recommended course of action?
I'm thinking to try the robot lawyer (donotpay.CO.uk), what do you think?

(Even the cop driving behind her could not understand why she ticketed...)

I'm appealing a guilty decision, in regards to a missing registration, do I need to pay the ticket, as the appeal is taking place ?
I'm asking, bec. I was found guilty, and I'm mailing in an appeal, but I'm still getting a pre penalty late fee letter, even though the website says that once you pay, you can't appeal anymore.

Any company that fights camera tickets?
there was just a case of this on the news a mnth ago saying how in one of the state's there was speeding cameras  was set at 33 when u really could go 35-36 without a ticket and there would be no way to say not! Bec it was pre set and even a ticket saying ur speed of 37(which was adding 1-2 numbers to ur speed) and how u could only go 35-36(u can't fight the sped camera bec supposedly it's not supposed to lie!suppose to be a Radar detector -not a lie detector! ) and as well as the red light cameras they went from green and a second of yellow basically not a second to spare from green to red which caused everyone who would go in the last few seconds an automatic ticket of it being red! It's suppose to be a delay of 2-3 seconds to pass the intersection! The jury ruled that all the fines for that year or some time period be returned! Crazy story!
Don't try to be someone else , be who you are because everyone else is taken.

Wow long story. If someone does that in NY, let's just say I would make a nice amount of money :)
Btw, there is a place in Brooklyn that I had gotten several red light tickets over the span of a few years so I felt that it must be the yellow is very short so I submitted a request for the DOT to review the yellow light and they said it meets the 3 second requirement. However I think it's a highway type road and the yellow light should be longer but I'm not fighting city hall..

what does it take to fight city hall? It's usually the person with a random story on the news who caused the city hall to change that particular thing and this time it could be you who caused the yellow light! :-X ;)

here's the story...
A double parking ticket just showed up online.. ticket was handwritten by a cop sitting in his car down the block. I was in the car the whole time, engine was on etc. the cop never came out of his car, and never actually gave the ticket. registration and VIN are not filled into the ticket...
I remember the incident pretty clearly.
do I need proof? or is it a lost case?
