Once checked in?  Do you know how many times I have checked that in for free?  Every airline has let me check in baby products for free the last year and a half. They should have shown me a specific regulation

Still irrelevant. Are you being thick on purpose? How about you show me the regulation allowing it.
It's extremely simple. You must pay for everything that you check unless they specifically exclude it in the terms or unless the agent decides to be generous. Neither of those occurred so you are SOL.

You're missing the principle; I asked them to show me the regulations and they would not
You think these guys are lawyers able to point to a specific regulation? Why shouldn't they charge for the crib anyhow?
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used to start a religious discussion.

Time to fly Spirit
You get what you pay for.
IME, the people at the airport are the only ones that can help you with this airline.

Time to fly Spirit
Huh?

I thought with Spirit one gets an ALTERNATIVE to flying, such as a bus, or just staying at your point of origin and going nowhere.

As the saying goes, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Oy, I am flying Spirit for the first time tomorrow morning. I had no choice. How miserable is it going to be?

As long as you are prepared and can play their game you should be good. I flew with them earlier this year and the FA upgraded me to the big front seat just because i asked politely.
