To get to the train: Leave the terminal through exit 01 and it is directly on your right. You can buy a ticket from the automatic machines outside the station entrance.
Please note that the train only runs during the day and not at night. Check the Israeli rail  website in advance if you are not sure.

Sometimes they send drivers that aren't officially from them and they try to get more money. (they claim so many suitcases, helped you shlep, waited for you 3 mins,...)

I took them around ten times with no issues. One time they sent the guy to the wrong address, but everything worked out. I think the PEBKAC.

best and cheapest way is either to walk out of arrivals slowly and hope to be approached by frum guy that takes people (available mostly before bein hazmanim) or to take elevator up to departures entrance and BARGIN with an arriving taxi that just dropped someone off. they are absolutely forbidden to take fares from the airport and so will agree to almost any price bcuz there alternative is to go back empty. if you are doing this do not pay more then 150 for cab TOPS.

trust me on this I have a lot of experience

I've NEVER been approached by any frum guy in around twenty trips. The cab idea makes sense though!

Arrived this AM with wife and kid + 3 suitcases and stroller, took a can (my first time. I usually call one of these guys and meet em, but at 4 am no one wanted to come) and paid through the roof, 320₪ for a slow drive, and he stopped off for gas  >:(

In short: dont take the taxis outside the airport!

Wow do I get annoyed when they do that. I already learned my lesson though. If a guy does that to me again I just wouldn't pay. Totally unacceptable.

I had one story where the taxi guy took me 'home' and I didn't have cash. All of. sudden when we get there he can't take credit and I too had specifically asked. All I had was a hundred dollar bill US in the house and I went to get it and we spent another half hour (at 3 in the morning) driving around trying to find someone who would change it. I was really young at the time (14?)  and clearly dumb. Or at least didn't have enough guts to tell the guy No, and just walk away.

My family I was going to called up the taxi service after and complained and I got back some sort of compensation.
The guy was clearly taking advantage.
