Does it make any sence that all three companies (ups fedex and dhl) are charging 70$ to ship a "envelope" (.5lb) from NJ to IL?
Any way to get it for cheaper?

What method are you trying to ship it?

For me DHL is about $85 Shipping 40lb to Canada.
Fedex is around that price too, maybe $95 or so.

I have an envelope express to israel, they are quoting from $55 (dhl) to $70(ups). I dont even need it there right away, just dont want to use USPS.
Is there anything cheaper?

Fedex or UPS will not give you good rates on ground shipping if you do not ship a lot
You could create a Fedex account, I have a way to add a discount to your account that will basically be
10%-13% off 1-10 lbs
20% off 11+ lbs

Do you mind sharing your way. I need to ship a very large tv to a mobile home community in /arkansas. i have a UPS PAYPAL /AMAZON SELLER account but not getting a decent rate. Please pm me or reply

not sure if anyone can join or not but I get decent discount for being part of this GPO. (no I dont ship alot). costs 6.73 for ground standard size anywhere in the US. great overnight rates from CA also.

if this doesnt work look for any large purchasing group. this one also gives 20% off your verizon bill
