i think that he's talking about very wealthy people, and i do agree that these are stereotypically the rich mans problems

i know poor people who are also messed up (not to mention their kids)

I don't think anyone will argue that having a billion dollars won't cause many extreme issues. But that's way beyond rich.

Let's compromise on all getting to have a few million in the bank. No mortgage, enough to give nicely to tzedaka, and no extreme concerns that the billionaire has.

It won't make a miserable person happy, but I do think he'll have less worries.

I can't put a number down, it depend on too many factors: family size, place you live etc. rich is rich. Having a LOT of money. I guess enough that you could take several years of vacation without a lifestyle change but that's a wild guess and don't pin me down and attack me for it.

@OP I think your making way to general a statement. I personally know a billionaire (I doubt too many people here know anyone that "rich") and I can assure you he is very happy. He is one of the nicest most sincere and happy people I know.

It all goes with a persons attitude rich or poor or middle class everyone decides for themselves whether they are happy or not.

I wouldn't say you need to go so far. It really depends. If you have five siblings and fifteen cousins all of whom are very poor and you have a million dollars I'd say this applies to you.

Have you thought about the problems that wealth brings, compared them to the problems of poverty and come to that conclusion? Or is that just off the cuff?
