I have a suspected throat infection/strep/flu, in Brooklyn with no health insurance, any ideas
only helpfull suggestions pleasssse

Not sure how it compares but cvs minute clinic is $30 for a strep test http://m.minuteclinic.com/mt/www.minuteclinic.com/services/labs_and_tests/

Might have to pay also $80 for the visit

Walk into any hospital and tell em you don't have insurance.

Antibiotics are cheap. in lakewood some ppl offer throat cultures for $10 bucks, if positive there is a community clinic thing called CHEMED they bill you on a sliding scale based on your income. Im sure there's something like that in BK

Are you eligible for Medicaid? In NY, they don't care about assets, just income (if you're under 65 and not disabled). If you are, you can go to the doctor/hospital (if they accept medicaid) and apply afterwards.
