OK I hear ya. Can we get you on record what it means if his numbers don't go up or G-d forbid go down?  :)

I guess you're the sole beacon of truth in the world of hockey.
I don't think you'll find a single analyst, journalist or knowledagble fan that can understand this trade from any POV.

I Find it ironic how people never gave Subban the respect he deserves are now fawning over him like he's the best in the league. where were they all this time. This coming from a guy who's avatar is Subban. I hate Bergevin and therien so much right now. This trade is inexcusable.

Lets assume both of you are 100% correct. Can I get an answer to my question for the record?  :)

And a follow up question. Montreal is not stupid so what was the reason for the trade. Could not see eye to eye with management/coach?

That is exactly the dumbest thing about this trade.
They gave a massive vote of confidence in their terrible coach Therrien while sending away their best skater.

To be honest, I always hated Subban on the ice for being a dirty player, but off the ice he's a really nice guy.
And he's always been a top 5 or top 3 defenseman and will continue to be one, while Weber is already out of the top 5 and will continue declining.

They are stupid. I have been trying to find the one silver-lining to this trade since it broke yesterday, and I've come up with nothing. It's simple. Therrien didn't like Subban, and Therrien and Bergevin are best friends who together decided to ship him out because their egos got in the way of realizing what the negative implications of this trade are. The one thing that I don't understand is how Geoff Molson actually let this happen. They traded away a franchise player because of a coach. And not a Babcock or Quenville, but rather one of the WORST coaches in the NHL.

Wow. I still hate Bergevin, but not gonna lie, I'm impressed that he was able to sign Radulov. BIG pick up.

Maybe there is a method to his madness and he is not done. They can't do much worse than last year.

I guess the trade makes a bit more sense if he needed the cap room for Radulov because they were already in serious discussion with him. But then again, Bergevin explicitly said that it had nothing to do with creating cap space. But he's also a liar.

Big question is how much he paid for him.
Radolov was asking for crazy money.

I'm also concerned about the term. He's too unstable to give a long-term deal. The second something doesn't go his way (which will inevitably happen under Therrible), he runs back to the Mother Land.

Weird that it hasn't been confirmed yet.

Surprised no talk about Shaw going to the Canadians. Not a top tier player but one that every teams need.

I agree. For the first time in many many many years the Habs actually have 6 top 6 forwards. Galchenyuk, Pacioretty, Plekanec, Shaw, Gallagher, Radulov

In what world is a 30 point scorer a top 6 forward?
60 points last 2 years for Shaw.

He's a fill in player that slots in well when you already have elite talent on the team.
Not someone worth paying nearly 4mm for.

+1. While I like the pickup, I definitely don't think he's a top 6 player. But because Michelle Therrible is our coach, he'll end up playing top 6 minutes. Probably on the same line as Desharnais and Patches, just because.

it was a very poorly constructed team, coaching didnt help but I dont think that was the main issue
