Anyone who blames his players when things don't go right makes my list of worst in history.
I dont like Torts any more than you do but that is a silly way to choose the worst coach in history. Based on team success he would be far from the worst in history. Maybe he would be ranked quite low by players as a coach they would want but a GM would view him very differently

...and they fully understand that and accept that it will happen. That by itself does not make the system flawed.
I agree that they accept it. That doesnt mean it isnt flawed. Just that it was the best system that they felt would reward teams the most fairly

Hawks had a nice road trip (5-1). Now if the defense can just back to its old self. Hopefully "old" is not he key word.

Toews is heating up for the Hawks. Now if they can get Sharp back from Dallas they will be the team to beat.

It looked nice but I think desperation saves like that are overrated.
It takes much more skill to always be in the right position and make hard saves look routine.
I think Price might the best at doing that, he's not usually flashy because he doesn't need to be.

I agree that there is a lot of luck involved in a save like that but it doesnt take away from the fact that it was an amazing save. Being in the right position and making hard saves look routine might be part of being a great goalie but the save of the season is going to be more like last nights save

it's a contender, I never liked the save of the year discussion. There's always a handful of saves that are all incredible and I can't pick between them. The circumstances of this save (time left and score) give this one some backing

Looks like the Caps are going for it.

Washington acquires defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk.

The Caps are going to advance to the ECF (losing their condditional 2nd rounder), face the Rangers and lose in game 7 OT. Then the Rangers proceed to win the cup, get rid of Girardi and sign Shattenkirk to a 5x7 deal. Totally gonna happen.

Defenseman Johnny Oduya was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. Can we please have Sharp back to?  :)

Toews and Kane are on fire. Should we just give them the Cup now?  :)
