I've met a couple of famous people but the coolest by far was in July 2008 in Macau before the Beijing Olympics. The USA Basketball Team was playing in an exhibition tournament at the Venetian so we decided to take the trip across from Hong Kong for the game against Turkey.

We arrived at the hotel the evening before and walked into the lounge to have some drinks and sure enough the entire team and coaches were sitting right next to us. We had drinks with Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul and Chris Bosh. After a while, Mike D'antoni walked over and asked me and my wife to leave and Jason Kidd waived him off and said that we were"with him". He told me that the people with the Yarmulke's were the Nets biggest fans and he always appreciated the spirit that they brought to the Meadowlands. Kobe also chimed in about his experience playing at Akiva in Lower Merion growing up and how the kids there were no competition for him.  Later that night, we went to the casino and gambled with Lebron James (literally) at a poker table. They were quite strict in the casino about taking pictures but for some reason they were all willing to skirt the restrictions to take photos with my wife.

The next day we saw the players all over the hotel but they had security and were followed by hundreds of screaming Chinese who seem to favor Kobe (by far). Game vs Turkey was cool but meeting the team was by far the highlight of our 2 month long RTW Honeymoon (for a different TR)

not really famous but funny story;
 I was hitching in upstate New York and i got picked up by Rabbi Jurvel (the children's tapes guy) I excitedly started quoting him the storyline of Eliyahu Be'Har HaCarmel and he turned to me in frustration and said "why in the world does everyone mix me up with Rebbe Hill!!!"
I also met Eminem in L.A. once and he was surprisingly friendly!

+1 Awesome!

I'll list the shtus celebrities I met.

I used to go visit Dustin Hoffman and two time oscar winning producer Albert Ruddy (He did the godfather) every week for a while.

I met Paris Hilton  ::) ,  Mindy Kaling (Indian girl from the office), Kevin Bacon (Apollo 13) he said my little brothers are cute kids, others I can't think of right now.

Also met some senators but no famous ones...

(My mom had a great story with Manny Ramirez, when he gave our family tickets to the game, same time Albert Bell cursed out my little cousin for asking for an autograph.)

Walking near Columbus Circle, saw a commotion when a woman walks out of a hotel and into a taxi.  I ask a guy next to me who it was.  He almost faints.   :o You  don't know Lady Gaga?? Guess not ::)
If you don't care why would you comment?
