Anyone even ever try out a Quest? CR ranks it higher than the Sienna.
"The redesigned Quest minivan stands proud as a luxury vehicle worthy of an Infiniti badge. It is the most luxurious minivan on the market, with a plush and quiet interior and a smooth compliant ride."

Most people who are leasing minivans in BK go with the Odyssey for the $1500 damage waiver, which will get used 100% of the time if you're a BK resident.

So this thread is basically Brooklyn vs. Lakewood, huh? ;)

Yes, but IMHO it's not good looking at all. Very boxy and spaceship looking.

Alot of people from BK move to Lakewood, so I think Lakewood would take full advantage of the 1500 waiver as well

True. Honestly I have driven all 3 and i like the way the Odyssey drives the most.
The Toyota is very smooth but the handeling is very loose, the Quest is more "sporty" because it's a Nissan.
The Odyssey is very middle ground, very smooth but not loose.

as sporty as a Minivan can be.

I dont find it "sporty" rather "different", in a luxurious kind of way.
It may be that my sole purpose in life is to serve as a bad example

Luxurious really depends on the model you get. The Sienna XLE and the Odyssey EXL are both luxurious cars.

Made the mistake of leasing the striped down, basic sheb'basic Odyssey to save a couple of bucks a month. Dont do this! the stereo and AC buttons are a mess, there is no middle seat in middle row-(btwn two carseats..) and shlepping the manual sliding doors open and closed is a real pain in da rear.

Hi i am looking into getting my first minivan would like to buy a used odyssey or sienna,
what do the DDF members recommend?
it depends if your looking for the exl (xle) which means leather+ or basic model
on basic model (stripped) almost no difference except price
on the most lux the seiana has 7 seats the od has 8
2 important items:
1. gap insurance ( the difference in value to replace van mid lease in case of accident)
2. damage waiver ($1500) meantioned earlier

please note: there are more handicap options on the toyota

for the basic driver its power over comfort ( toyota a bid more comf) honda a bit more power
honda uses more gas
if you need to be the first to drive the second the light turns green you need the honda.
no i dont sell cars but i do have both minivans

The Toyota is very smooth but the handling is very loose.
Isn't that something you will get used to?

To clarify further I am not considering a new van (lease or finance ) but do want the newer model
Sienna 2011 odyssey 2012 after speaking to people and doing my
Own research it seems there are 2 basic options wich both have their drawbacks
Option 1 buying a car from one of the many reputable frum car dealers pro= Smaller markup , better deals. Cons cars aren't in mint condition  ,and can have minor issues 2 classic dealerships and it's exactly the opposite the cars are generally in mint condition (not rentals or from auction) yet the prices are quite steep I don't like either of these choices the third option which seems most attractive to me is to find somebody ready to return their lease  and to buy it out from them the pros are you can look for somebody who's car is in mint condition and you know drove it normally as well as that you will not have to pay any Markup because you're just buying out the remaining value of the car not having to pay a middleman (besides for maybe having to pay a minimal fee to conduct the transaction)  the only question is if the new model siennas are around long enough to be coming out of lease the odysseys I don't have much hope that they are since they are even a year newer I really appreciate any leads on this option thank you so much in advance

Anyone even ever try out a Quest?
I rented it once for a long road trip,
Pros: for the driver its realy amazing, smooth, quiet, good pick up and good gas, I would forsure take it over anything else.
Con: it's not as big, smaller trunk and 3rd row dosent have too much leg room.
Some people claim that due to its shape it'd get pushed around alot when it's windy on the highway.
