Question for Galaxy s owners. When printing an email or photo does the Galaxy let you print to any printer? Or just to a Samsung? Or is this only on the Tablets?
I know with a third party app you can print to any printer but I'm talking with the built in software.

Glad to hear it. Guess it's just on the tablet. Setting up someone's Galaxy Note 8 and it says Samsung printers only.

Looking for some help. When I am in my car I am using Bluetooth. If I use Google Maps I don't hear the voice from google maps. Looking for a fix. I tried searching online and it did not help

When you are navigating, there is a menu you can bring up from the bottom right corner of the screen...the third item on that menu is "unmute voice guidance"

VZW released an update via keis that's enables AWS and adds the Samsung OCR.
If you play with your phone (root etc) don't take the upgrade

Put your Sounds in the system.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 allows us to use mp3 as ringtones, alarms or notifications. But if like me you have over 16G of music on your phone it might be annoying to "Go To Files" and search for them. Another way to do it is by creating a folder where Android will automatically look in and put the files in the "Ringtones". To do this just create a folder called "Media" on your sd-card. Inside the Media folders create 3 more folders "Ringtones", "Alarms" and "Notifications". It should look like this.
Media..
--------Alarms
--------Notifications
--------Ringtones
Now move/copy your mp3 files in the according folders. Now if you go on your phone settings->sounds->device ringtones you should see your mp3 files in the list.(Phone restart might be needed)

Remove unwanted media files
To remove unwanted media files (pictures, audio) that do not belong in the gallery or in your music player, just create an empty file and name it ".nomedia". Place a .nomedia file at the root of any folder you don't want to see appear in your Gallery or Music player. Android will skip scanning those folder. You can always open those files later by using a file explorer

i would like to buy backup chargers and car chargers for the s4.
I def see a difference in charging times with non oem chargers.

I am looking on ebay and see a million choices for samsung oem chargers.

can someone point me to the specs i need or a good example.
i see a range from $4 - $10+

I don't know if anyone else here had this issue - but my volume button kept getting stuck in the up position. Every once in a while my volume would shoot up to the top, and pressing down (or dragging the bar on the screen didn't help (it would just go right back to high volume right after lowering).

A result of this is that whenever I turned on my phone it would go to boot mode (the result of having the volume up button pressed while turning on) and the phone wouldn't boot up unless I held volume down as I powered on.

Some google searches showed that this has happened to others ( I have dropped it a few times) but luckily there's an easy fix!

The Galaxy is pretty easy to take apart

so I opened it up and popped the volume button out and then back in and now it's fixed!!!

Just thought I'd share in case this happens to anyone else.
