It was a good deal but nothing compares to a 2 stage gas snow blower. With the single stage you need to work too hard.

I haven't been in the market for one recently but I am sure that there are better sales where one can be had for cheaper.

While $450 seems like a lot compared to one for $130, you are getting a machine that is actually capable of blowing snow that is more than 12". I guess it really depends on what you need the snow blower for, how often it snows by you and how much area you need to clear. Anything more than a small 25' area of sidewalk and the electric snow blower (or even a gas single stage) isn't worth the trouble. Just IME.
