Topic Wiki

To find items (like this one) that are eligible for Easy Rebates that may end up being worth buying just for the points use this link.

If the status for the Easy Rebate says "Your reward has been sent" but you've never received the card or lost it before ever using it, then call 1-877-266-6483 to have Staples send out a replacement.

There are often coupons that lower the up front cost of paper that's on sale with a rebate. And other coupons, too.
Staples.com > on top menu bar - shop deals > coupons
BUT:

The coupon is now only able to work once per order! The $5 off is now being pro-rated between all the cases in the order, rather than the 4x it's put in!
To use the coupon 4x, you need to have each case checked out separately.  Which means that besides the bother at the register, you submit 4 different rebates - and you get 4 different rebate cards of $41 - instead of 1 rebate card worth $164.

Can you buy VGCs with the eGift card? How about with the ePromo card?
Probably not with either. If you put a VGC in your cart, the checkout page will not let you enter a GC #.

I just bought something in-store that had an EasyRebate. I was charged the correct price after rebate, but the guy told me I have to take the receipt and register it online. This was my first time using an EasyRebate. What's what about? I already got the discount...

I'm not sure what you are saying happened but if you go to the site it will walk you thru the simple steps to get the rebate
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

But what could I still possibly get?
The price of the item dropped at the register once he put in the rebate coupon number. The ream of paper was $8 and it dropped to $0.01 on the screen. Why would I need to submit any rebates?

You don't unless you're going for (the possible YMMV of) getting the rebate on top of the .01

Assuming you feel that is ethical, considering that you noticed that you already kind of got the rebate.

If Item is rebate eligible,  you  can generally still go online and apply for the rebate. It doesn't matter that you only paid one cent.

This isn't the ethical thread. Please keep it clean of those posts. Thanx.

Interesting. Yeah it looks like they might have messed up and perhaps weren't supposed to knock the price down that much. Well, that's good enough for me. Just wanted my paper for $0.01. :)

On line you can't use GCs to buy GCs .  In the store, when buying other things, YMMV.
