how to get a vcn
For Citi,
 log into your citi online account > services > virtual account numbers and set it up from there. Make sure that popups are enabled in your browser.

For BofA
go your account history and scroll down until you see the ShopSafe link on the right side of the screen.

can someone please explain a little about virutal cc #s? when should I be using them? for all online ourchases? do amex or chase offer them? ive seen them mentioned in some thread but cant seem to find the issue addressed directly. thanks

thank you. I saw someone post on the main site about using em. Seems like a reccuring payment u don't want to recurr would be another use. Is that true?

Amex offered it many years (private payments) ago but not now. No go for Chase also.

AFAIK Chase and Amex do not currently offer it.

Never did BOA, so not sure.

i used them to meet spending on citicards on AP. worked like a charm
