Only yom tovs are highlighted for me.

When you look at it on monthly view?

Yes. Make sure hebrew calendar and jewish holdays are checked in your calendars to display.

EnergyRom is a very stable 2.3 ROM with HTC Sense, ICS is >= 4.0 with no HTC Sense.

Desk ICS is Android 4.03r1 and is what I am currently running albeit with no 4G nor HTC Sense...
So they are two different things. I guess you ultimately took the ICS route although you love Energy so much.
By stable you mean it's the same as stock just more effective? Or does it look different/have other features?
Is there any way to combine ICS and Sense once I end up rooting my Evo?

I ran Energy until ICS for Evo got GPU support (makes scrolling smooth and allows Chrome to run). Nope being as HTC hasn't released any ICS devices yet, we have to wait until they do so they can port over HTC Sense.
Stable meaning no crashes etc. It is themed differently so it has a different look as well having other features that aren't on the stock rom such as internet sharing for free etc.
In your situation I would probably root and install a Gingerbread (2.3) ROM with HTC Sense as that will get you the speed and battery life increases as well as stability unlike ICS which is unstable but is the latest and greatest.

Can't change them as these are supplied by Google... See answer here on how to see all the calendars that Google offers.

Then i guess hebcal.com wins, because there i can have shabbos zemanim included, just have to figure out how to import them without the reminders.

Why not use both? Use Google for the dates and hebcal for shabbos times etc.

So BAHayman pointed me to this nice Zmanim app that can calculate zmanim with a zip code or coordinates even when offline.
I've had this one for a while, it is really good. I never realized that you can use zip codes even when offline, then again I usually have it use GPS for location.

Definitely is, on the custom calendar page just uncheck "Show Hebrew date for entire date range".

hebcal is slow and heavy.
I think using Google Cal and using Zmanim is as good as I'm going to get to replace luach.

So in you (highly respected) opinion ICS is the way to go over EnergyRom..
Nope being as HTC hasn't released any ICS devices yet, we have to wait until they do so they can port over HTC Sense.
Believe me, I'm eagerly waiting for THAT day...  :D

Although I'm running smooth for now due to what I did on Sunday, I actually feel adventurous and, once rooted, would probably try the "unstable" ICS before settling again for same old same old.

If you want the latest and greatest and can put up with having to reboot every so often.

Tempted... But its too expensive! I've currently got 2 SERO-P lines, pretty sure VZW is wayy more expensive for the equivalent, no?

Edit: Currently paying $100 on Sprint, on VZW it looks like it would be $160 for less minutes and non unlimited data :(
