Seat maps may be worthless but when you see a flight which 95 percent seats are open it means something.

AFAIK United is replacing the flight from @ night that has bin cancelled, with this flight, but they are not automatically putting ppl from the cancelled flight on to this one, when ppl from isreal will wake up this morning and see that their flight was cancelled they will probably rebook to the 4:00 flight, ant thats why United is not opening the flight.

If i transfer my UR points into someone else's United 1K account (avoid last minute fee's) and i book my tickets through that account is this considered sold miles and can cause his account to get closed?

It's not "sold," but if UA shuts down the account and you say you only did it to avoid the close-in fee, I'm not sure they'd view it any more favorably.
