Is there a good chance that I can get someone from UA to waive change fee, due to an emergency, where the passenger needs to get home asap, bec. of sick parent ?

I saw 0 business saver award seats for ewr-lax or ewr-san from now until Feb.  Is that the norm now?

Not neccesarily Normal but pretty frequent occurrence (and has been for awhile)

United.com was showing availability for JFK-ZRH-TLV on LX RT in J so transferred 480k from UR to UA to book, and it errored out when I tried to book. Called, turns out it was phantom availability. UA basically said tough luck but we're not doing anything. HUCA'd a few times, suggested they open space for me on UA EWR-TLV but no dice.

Called Chase to tell them and ask them to reverse the transfer and they put in a request to escalate. Any hope? Anyone have this happen to them?

Good luck
Tried that 3 times. 2 of the reps hung up on me when I suggested that they open space for me on a UA flight (and no, I wasn't being obnoxious).

Is it me or did domestic UA business saver award space go non existent over the weekend? There were a few flights LAX-EWR for jun/jul 2017 that I was tracking, getting ready to book. Checked last night, gone. Checked in expert mode to see if they are available for cardholders, also non existent. Checked a few other routes, almost nothing for that time. Anybody know of anything that happened?

On hold with united for half an hour. The phone line mentioned something about severe weather. What's going on?

Over the weekend they always change availability, it will probably become available again after  the weekend.

how long is considered unusual for a UA award flight on multiple star alliance partners to ticket?
I've been waiting all day

Let's just say I had a very nervous past couple of weeks since they came up on my account:

Came up after a redeposit. (Yes, I do a lot of those. Maybe I should slow those down...) Apparently the system is now manually auditing redeposits and there's nobody to speak to that can clear it up.
Needs to be reviewed by senior MP and the process takes 2-3 weeks.

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Maybe us plebeians without status will now see more saver avail as Top Tiers wont be booking everything with option to redeposit freely :)

Is 24 hours free cancelation actually 24 hours or end of next day?
