Reminder: Last chance to transfer for free Southwest Airlines Tickets
The last time you can transfer Amex points or points from any other program to Southwest Airlines is June 30th 2010. After June 30th Southwest will not be accepting transfers from any other rewards programs.
you can transfer 24,000 Amex points for 16 rapid rewards credits for a free flight anywhere in the USA southwest flies. In addition there is a slight tax they charge as well I believe around $15 per ticket.
Transfer 150,000 amex points for 6 free round trips along with a companion pass for 1 year. Companion passes allow a designated partner to travel on ALL flights for FREE as long as the companion pass holder is present as well. The key here is that while some flights are blocked off for standard award reservations and are only available via freedom rewards the companion pass partner tickets are always free whether the original ticket is booked with cash or freedom rewards.
