Looking to burn some Hilton points this summer in Amsterdam. Has anyone recenty been to the Amsterdam Hilton or Doubletree Hilton and know which is nicer?

Haven't stayed at either but I believe the Amsterdam Hilton is the nicer hotel.

Amsterdam Hilton is nicer. I grew up literary around the corner and my parents still live down the road (canal!) from it. The outside is outdated but the interior is nice. there are two shuls close-by with daily minyanim. They used to offer kosher food but I don't know for sure still if they still do, I haven't been there since last year pesach. (Funfact: see if you can get the presidential suite where John Lennon and Yoko Ono stayed.)

You probably have enough time for some sightseeing...wouldn't waste it on the Heineken tour, though.

Anne Frank, Jewish Historical Museum, Rijksmuseum for a real quick tour, etc....

Both.  It's just a tour of a replica of a brewery (but including a couple rounds of Heineken's finest).  So it's both a fair amount of time that can't be cut shorter (you're on their schedule), and for a city that offers so much in terms of history, etc., it would be a shame to waste a couple hours on that tour.

I'd imagine you can have them order in kosher food if you request.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi--

Can I ask how you set up the kosher meals at the Andaz?  I kept going back and forth between the Andaz (my first choice) and the Conservitorium (where we are tentitively booked)  Did you go yet?  We are planning to go this summer...would love any advice...

Has anyone spent Shabbat there and arranged meals?  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I will have to have a business lunch or dinner in Amsterdam with a non-Jewish business partner there (he is Dutch and lives near Amsterdam).

What is the nicest Kosher restaurant in Amsterdam -- H' Baron?

And is it really nice enough in absolute terms, so as not to be embarrassing, or just relatively nicer than anyplace else....

Input appreciated....

Is H'Baron the nicest one there (i.e., nicer than Carmel)?

Its definitely nice, but just not drop dead gorgeous. I had a decent rib eye there, and the service was nice too.. Attentive waiters etc.. Would have a business meeting there.
