What does sideloaded mean? Can I get just about any app available for iphone/android on the BB Z10?

Its a pretty simple process, you need to install 2 programs on your computer, and enable developer mode on your blackberry.

You could either download the .bar file that already should work for the Blackberry, or download an Android .apk file convert it, and see if it works.

Not every app is compatible.

I have the SG3 and I don't really like it. I was on a BB Tour for the past 3 years and I loved the phone. I was missing the apps and web browsing which seriously lacked on the tour.

Today is the last day I can switch in my new SG3 and get a different phone (30 days from new contract). Does the Z10 answer the web browsing and app experience similar to the SG3 and iphone?

This BB is very different from the previous ones, basically you cant even compare it. Its a whole different breed

Nice to see this thread. Only app I can think of to add to this list is Waze, its a very useful navigation and it runs very well on BB10, only issue is that it drains battery pretty quick so I only plan on using it when its plugged into my car charger.
I havent sideloaded anything yet but considering it, mainly for the chase app.

I used the native blackberry maps, and it worked perfectly fine for me...

If you used Password Keeper on your old BB you need to download it.

There are also several instagram client apps that are available in bb world. I dont use instagram but i see the apps when browsing.

updated the wiki with a few apps Ive been using.
And Daaven is the best siddur that I have used, I tried one other one and didnt like it
NY Times is a very good app and free full access for the next few weeks. Has great integration with the hub, with big stories getting push notification into the hub

Yes, this is simpler and easier.

I use this way now.

Earlier, I haven't seen this way.
