Not sure who I would replace either Duncan or Bird by position or Magic since Lebron essentially plays PG but yes I would put Lebron in my 5 if using current players.

Wait, what? If for some reason the other 4 spots were locked down, there's a scenario where you'd pick Magic over Lebron? Or Bird over Lebron?

If you had to pick by position and each player was locked into the position that he played most of his career then yeah I would pick Magic as PG

Lebron plays mostly small forward so if we are by position then he would be picked at SF.

If you're letting Lebron qualify for the same spot as Magic, he's getting that spot over Magic. If you're letting him qualifiy for the same spot as Bird, he's getting that spot over Bird. Not sure what you're getting at.

LBJ is a small forward? In that case if we include current players Bird would be gone but then I would be a racist.

Nah. Pick 4 other guys, then have Magic run that team as the "PG" and Lebron run that team as the "PG". It's Lebron all day. I'm not even that high on Lebron, but there's just no case to say you're better off with Magic in that spot.

Definitely not. In fact, I can see an argument for a 'regular' pg over Lebron - just not Magic.
