What happens when you hit CTRL-F5 on that page?

Do you have any filters? Try disabling all antivirus etc, and see if it still happens.

Hi,
So after turning on my laptop (acer with windows 10) and signing in to my user name- the screen just stays blank/ black.
I searched and tried any option I can find on my phone to no avail.

Anyone can help with this?
Tia

Anything plugged into the laptop? If yes try restarting without anything external plugged in.

Have you tried safe mode?

Any changes you know that was made in the week or so before this started to happen?

After signing in with your user name and waiting a couple of minutes, press Ctrl-Alt-Del together. Does that give you a menu? If it does, try Task Manager, and someone can hopefully help you from there.

I  have a 2+ year old HP 17 Inch I3 laptp running win 7 . Its getting extremely slow over time , but more than I am used to with older computers

CCleaner can take more than 1 minute to clear memory,  and I do it almost daily.

FWIW after I have closed Firefox and Chrome if I had opened both , CClenaer tells me they are still open and I have to select " force closure of both " .

Where do I start looking. Also when running a lot of aaps like Fidelity Active trader Pro, or scanning for virus , the computer gets a little loud
probably at the fan/hard disk

Thanks
.

I would start with

1) make sure windows is up to date
2) run malwarebytes
3) update all drivers
4) uninstall all unneeded programs
5) disable as many startup items as you can
6) remove bloat from all programs  (extensions / add-ons)
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

You can update drivers from hp's website. GIYF

You can also run disk cleanup

Some of them are obvious like programs that you don't always use
