Was away for a few weeks. Came home to one of my laptops not holding it's charge. Now it says plugged in not charging. HP battery check says battery is ok. Any ideas?

Make sure plug is tight. If that does not help, you might need to replace the charger.

Plug is tight. And it's registering that's plugged in. Do you mean replace the battery?

Any other ideas anyone? The first 2 days the battery was just being weird. Now it won't charge.

Unplug the power cord, right click on battery icon, select 'Balanced (Recommended)', plug power cord back into laptop... problem solved.

Saw above mentioned on a site and this is what finally fixed it. So strange. Meanwhile my battery is still acting up.

Take out the battery and holding the power button down for 30 seconds
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Tried that. Didn't work. The above finally fixed it.  But meanwhile I know my battery is acting up. Wondering how to fix that. Or what could be wrong with it.

Comp is almost 3 years. Battery is less than a year. Ruined the last one in Israel using converters.

Try draining the battery all the way down

I tried that yesterday. Issue was it 'died' super fast. Will try it again now after it reaches 100%.  Thanks.
